Submitted text
Text submitted for verification is processed only to provide the requested result. We do not store, cache, hash, fingerprint, log, trace, include in error reports, or retain submitted text in check history.
No verification provider currently receives submitted text because no provider method is enabled. If we enable a third-party verification method, we will update our disclosures before sending submitted text to that provider. Do not submit confidential, sensitive, regulated, or personal information that you are not authorized to process.
How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the Service;
- authenticate users and manage API keys, subscriptions, billing, and usage allowances;
- prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms;
- measure and improve performance and user experience;
- communicate about accounts, transactions, support, and material Service changes; and
- comply with law and enforce our agreements.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information as necessary to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, protect legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, or with your consent.
How we disclose information
We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate the Service, including providers for hosting, authentication, payments, analytics, rate limiting, email, monitoring, and error reporting. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices.
We may also disclose information when required by law; to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or the Service; in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets; or at your direction. We do not sell personal information for money.
Cookies and similar technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, analytics, and Service performance. Browser controls may let you block or delete these technologies, but some Service features may then stop working.
Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including providing the Service, maintaining business and security records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of information and applicable requirements. Submitted text is discarded after the verification request as described above.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International processing
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of your personal information, withdraw consent, or appeal a decision about a request. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and legal exceptions may apply.
You can manage certain account and subscription information through the developer application. To submit a privacy request, email help@textwatermarkdetector.com.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Do not use the Service if you are not old enough to consent to data processing in your location without authorization from a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required by law. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date is subject to the updated policy.
